Welcome to The Monmouth Chess School and Club!

Whether you have always wanted to learn how to play, or already share a passion for the game of Chess, the Monmouth Chess School and Club, in Red Bank, New Jersey, is the place to be!

  • For casual play, USCF rated tournaments and other special chess events, the Chess Club meets Sundays from 1:00 to 6:00 PM at 51 Monmouth St., Red Bank, NJ.
  • The Chess School schedules Children's Group Classes on Sundays between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Private classes and after-school programs are available during the week.
  • The MCS&C is a United States Chess Federation (USCF) Silver Affiliate, sponsoring frequent, USCF-rated Open and Scholastic Tournaments
  • Chess Club and USCF Memberships available
  • Boards, Sets and Clocks provided
  • Players of all ages welcome
  • Refreshments available.

Chess develops memory and concentration, tactical and strategic thinking, self esteem, self discipline and sportsmanship in a competitive environment.

Life lessons learned through Chess include setting goals and priorities, viewing obstacles as challenges, learning from mistakes, patience, persistence and decision making under time constraints.
